“ We had the best experience for brunch thank you Taste kitchen this was a whole vibe that was definitely worth looking for while in Houston! The restaurant is clean, the service is phenomenal, from the valet to the bussers! Thank you! Also the server was CJ and he definitely was the best part of the experience he said he only been there for 3 weeks and he knew that menu so good he didn’t tell us no lie about what was good cause he said everything was and he ain’t lie! Well worth it! Thank you Daniele you showed us good hospitality and made sure our table was good! Taste kitchen need to hire more gentleman like you two. ”
“ My husband and I recently visited Texas for the first time and we spent our last night in downtown Houston. After checking in to our hotel, we spent some time walking around the area and eventually came across Taste Kitchen and Bar, so decided to give it a try and am I ever glad we did! The atmosphere of the restaurant was great and the service and food were amazing! The ladies at the front were very friendly and greeted us immediately! Once seated, CJ was assigned as our server. He was very attentive and did a wonderful job helping us navigate the menu and made some excellent recommendations. We tried waffles and chicken for the first time and were not disappointed! Our meals were delicious and we highly recommend this restaurant for their food and service. ”
“ Today our server Jeffery offered hands down the best customer service you could ever want. He was very informative of the menu. He also had a great sense of humor and was very attentive. We ordered the Cajun chicken with waffles and the waffles had a crispy exterior and a soft inside served with warm maple syrup. The Cajun chicken was excellent crispy juicy chicken. Not overly seasoned just the right amount for me as a person who cant have much salt. Perfect crunch and juicy succulent meat. The ambience was very nice cant wait to visit again and try other menu items. This was my first time here and there will definitely be more visits to come. ”
“ Couple of Old-School Nupes in town for our Homecoming @ TSU, and after checkin we sought out Taste in DT Houston for a great meal and they delivered! Taste of Soul with fried okra and the Frozen Watermelon Drinks were spot-on in comfort-style presentation and taste! Atmosphere was great with a steady flow of diversed customers for a mid-day Thursday. Everyone was pleasant and social bar area was on point! Hats off to our Server, Janesia! She nailed the customer service with warm, friendly smiles, checking on us, help with the menu orders and great conversations! We’ll be back and couldn’t stop talking of our great dining experience throughout the weekend! ”
“ Looking for soul food in Houston, Texas, this is the spot. The Red line train in downtown Houston has a stop in front of this restaurant. I'm from Miami so I know a good vibe when I see one, and this restaurant has that. The ambiance, location, DJ selection of music all make this place is good vibe. I ordered fried chicken, cornbread waffle, candy yams, and collard greens with a watermelon margarita. It was all delicious. Seating upstairs has great views to the city. Great staff. Very welcoming. ”
